Our San Miguel story

We have been coming to Mexico for decades, travelling throughout many parts of the country from east coast to west coast, Yucatan, Oaxaca, Mexico City, Chiapas, Veracruz, Jalisco, Colima, Michoacan, and more. in 2016 we had the opportunity to come to San Miguel de Allende on a "home exchange" visit and, like many first time visitors, we quickly became enchanted with it's stunning colonial architecture, amazing food, music, culture and most especially the warmth and charm of it's people. That first 10-day visit prompted many return visits over the years, making many new friends, and visualizing our lives here more permanently.

In 2025 we made that dream come true with the purchase of beautiful Casa Sultan. Although we consider this our primary home and enjoy life here most of the year, we do occasionally rent the property for medium length stays (1-2 months) when we're away travelling.
